WHEREBY IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
1> Puppy’s Name: Sex: Date of Birth:
2> The vendor will sell, and the purchaser will buy the puppy detailed below at the price of £- The above named puppy has been vet checked and wormed to date.
3> The puppy is believed to be in good health but you are strongly advised to take it to your veterinary surgeon for a general health check within four days of purchase. It is always useful to establish a relationship with your vet at this stage. This check and any tests or examinations associated with it must be at your expense. If your veterinary surgeon finds any problem which, in their opinion, renders the puppy unfit for sale, I will take the puppy back and refund the full purchase price on condition that the puppy is returned within seven days of purchase and is in the same state of health as when it was sold. Before purchase you should consider the puppy as a living thing which will become a much loved member of the family in a very short time, and this may effect what you wish to do if return of the puppy becomes necessary.
4> The Purchaser agrees to and understands the following conditions. The puppy described above shall not be used for breeding purposes of any kind until they have been suitably hip scored achieving a score of no more than 20 in total. The puppy has an endorsed pedigree that prevents the registration of any progeny. This will be removed by me on request, and on confirmation of suitable hip scores when the puppy reaches the age of 2 years.
The puppy shall not be sold, leased or given to any pet shop or research establishment. The puppy shall not be sold, given or donated to any person without the vendor’s knowledge and consent. The vendor will be notified immediately of any change of address or contact details.
In the event of the purchaser being unable to maintain the puppy, the vendor shall be informed, and shall reserve the right to re-home the puppy at any age. If such dog is returned it will be suitably re-homed any refund will be at the discretion of the vendor.
The puppy shall not be taken from the purchaser’s country of residence without prior knowledge of the vendor. The pedigree is endorsed to prevent the issue of an export pedigree. This will be removed if the puppy has to be permanently taken to another country.
5> The purchaser further warrants that the puppy will be kept in appropriate condition for its health and welfare and it will be fed a suitable diet for his/her age and condition. Will receive all necessary veterinary care and attention to maintain good health, will be socialised and receive basic good manners obedience training, will not be allowed to wander the streets unattended, will be kept on a lead at all times whilst in a public place. The purchaser agrees that the puppy will not be left alone for extended periods of time. The purchaser further agrees that the dog will not be chained or tethered in the yard or garden under any circumstances; he/she will not be used as a guard dog and will not be trained in attack work.
6> The purchaser further understands that if there is a failure to keep any part of the contract, or the puppy is neglected or mistreated, the purchaser will surrender the puppy to the vendor unconditionally and without financial restitution or compensation.
7> All Kennel Club documentation has been provided and checked by both purchaser and vendor
